Fak U Photobucket

Well, you may have noticed that all the images on this blog are broken. This is because of the stupid new photobucket... it changed all my image links. I've already fixed it on every other website I've posted images on, but it takes way too long and it's just not worth doing it on this blog. But I thought I'd at least give an explanation, hence this post. (Who the hell actually says hence?) Every image I post from now on will work though, and here's proof.

Anyway, in more relevant news, uh... Wake is almost done? But then again I've been saying that for a while...

Wake: Featured in the RPG Maker Podcast

I found out yesterday that my nearly finished side project, Wake, was featured in an RPG Maker podcast that a few people over at the forums started recently. It was in a segment called "Play or Flay" where they decide whether they would download them or not if they saw the thread. I had no idea any of this would happen when I posted the project page, so I'll admit I didn't really try too hard to make it that nice. They reviewed my thread, and sadly it got a flay. I talked to them afterwards and they gave me some suggestions, and it's getting a lot better now. Most of what made it look bad is my poor construction of the thread, like screenshots before I added the HUD as well as after, and before I changed the lighting effects and after. I have fixed everything and greatly improved the project page which you can find here. In the end I have to thank these guys for helping me realize that what I put out to the world representing my game is what everyone sees, and is much different from what I see as the developer. They helped me make my game and future games better, and hell, I was featured in a podcast! So I guess that's it for now. I haven't really kept this blog updated with Wake, so be sure to check out that link and see what it's all about.

Important Update Patch for TB

For everyone who downloaded 0.2: Thank you, but it is highly recommended to download 0.2.1 and move your save files there, (0.2.1 can be found here) because it fixes many bugs as well as a missing BGM track. This means that when you get to a certain area in the game, you can not progress past it because it crashes every time you get there. If you don't know how to move your save files, PM me on rpgmakervxace.net or forums.rpgmakerweb.com, or you can just leave a comment on this post. Sorry for any inconvenience. :/

The Beneath: Demo Download Now Available

I've mentioned my RPG, The Beneath, in the previous post. Well, now the first demo is available. With a few hours of gameplay, this will keep you busy for a while and give you a taste of my game making. More demos will be released in time, but for now click the magical link of supreme magicality.

The Beneath Demo

I don't know if I've mentioned The Beneath in this blog yet, but it's my main game that I've been working on in between side projects. Anyways, I've made some significant progress in it, and there's a good hour or two of gameplay. (Not sure exactly, I've only had one tester.) So I've gotten to a good point to release the first demo, and as soon as I get the file to be small enough to put up on mediafire, I will do just that. I'll keep you updated with this blog. Here are some screenshots:

The Consumption

I am currently working on a science fiction book about the galaxy Andromeda thousands of years in the future where humans are extremely advanced life forms who conquered Andromeda long ago when they began the third space revolution. A race called Kiiren, but are less formally known as space-eaters, are discovered on the border of the galaxy. They feed on void, destroying space every time they eat, which is destroying planets and threatening the galaxy. Different races throughout the whole galaxy need to join together in order to eliminate the threat. The book shows the point of view for all of them as they eventually meet and fight the space-eaters. Here's the first like 20 pages of it. What do you think of it so far?
